Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Sauvetage Assuré inc. ("Sauvetage Assuré", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, with whom it may be shared, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It applies to our website, our Management+ and Registration+ portal and our exchanges with you.
The French version of this policy is the official version. This English version is a translation.
1. Contact
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: admin@sauvetageassure.com. Put "Privacy" in the subject line.
2. Information collected
We collect only what is needed, directly from you or, for a child under 14, from the parent or guardian:
- Families and participants: name, contact details, date of birth, information relevant to a participant's safety, registrations, attendance, payments and refunds.
- Company clients: the contact person's name, title, contact details and requests.
- Staff: information needed for employment (identity, contact details, certifications, schedule, time clock, payroll, emergency contacts and, if you choose to provide them, medical conditions and allergies).
- Website visitors: information sent through a contact or job application form.
- People named in an incident report: information needed to describe the event, including the help given.
3. Use
We use this information to provide our services: manage accounts, registrations and payments; tell you about changes to your lessons; keep participants and staff safe; manage our staff; serve our clients; protect the portal; meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
4. Consent
By creating an account or sending us a form, you consent to your information being used for the purposes described here. You may withdraw your consent at any time; some services may then no longer be available. A family account must be created by an adult. A person aged 14 or over may consent on their own.
5. Sharing
Only staff members who need your information for their work can access it. We may also share it:
- with company clients, about the staff assigned to their facilities (first name, initial, function and certifications) and incidents that happen there;
- with families, the first name of their lessons' instructor;
- with our technology service providers (website and portal hosting, database, e-mail, address suggestions, card payment processing) and our payroll provider, bound by contract and required to protect your information. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment provider: we never receive or store them;
- where the law allows or requires it, for example with emergency services.
Administrators may read staff chat conversations.
Some of our providers are located outside Québec, including in Canada and the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there. Before that, we assess the privacy factors and make sure the information is adequately protected.
6. Cookies and location
The portal uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage: keeping you logged in and remembering your language. We use no advertising cookies or tracking tools. Our host may use a technical security cookie.
Device location is off by default. It is requested, with your permission, only when a staff member clocks in or out, to check they are at the pool. Only the distance is kept, not your position.
7. Retention
We keep information as long as needed for the stated purposes or required by law, then securely destroy it. The periods are set out in our Personal Information Governance Policy.
8. Security
We protect your information with measures suited to its sensitivity: encrypted connections, role-based access, two-step login for administrators and backups. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned.
9. Your rights
You may ask to access your information, have it corrected, receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format, or withdraw your consent. Write to admin@sauvetageassure.com; we answer within 30 days after verifying your identity. You may also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
We make no decision based exclusively on automated processing and do no profiling.
10. Changes
We may change this policy; the update date appears at the top of the page. We will tell you about any important change.
